Leaders meetings in Bali

As well as the XL Nation Forum meetings which are held bi monthly, Circle Leaders and members of their team are invited to join XL Nation twice a year in Bali. These meetings are an amazing opportunity to network with Leaders from around the World and the Directors and Leaders of XL Nation. New initiatives are unveiled at these meetings and training and development for Leaders provided.

We meet twice a year, in March and then again in October. Meetings are published in advance through XL Heartbeat and on the events section in XL World

The March Meeting is to commemorate XL National Day when XL Nation was launched on the 31st March 2009. It is a special meeting where we look back at the year and celebrate all of the important milestones.

The October Convention is to look forward to the next 12 months, to collaborate with major change makers from around the world and to set the agenda and goals together for the next 12 months.

Stepping up again - Becoming a mentor

There is another opportunity again. An opportunity to be of real support to XL Nation is as a Mentor of new Circle Leaders who are just starting to set up their Circle and need help to get verified and become effective.

The role of a Mentor is to support either another Leader or an entire Leadership team to get their XL Nation Circle up and running. You can of course refer back to this guide as you are mentoring your team!

Role of a Mentor

  • To give guidance and inspire confidence for new Leaders on what it means to be an XL Nation Leader and a Guardian of the 2020 Vision.
  • To ensure effective propagation of the XL Nation Circles
  • To help Leaders get their Circle set up and verified by XL Nation within 30 days
  • To offer ongoing support and guidance to the Leadership Team on how to improve their Circle
  • To help unblock the blocks that are preventing flow for the Leaders

How to Mentor a new Circle through to verification in 30 days using 5 simple steps:

Remember that things you take for granted as an experienced Leader are all new to Leaders who have just stepped up - try and think back to when you first got started and how it all seemed back then to you.

  1. Help the Leader/Leadership Team get clear on WHY they are creating this Circle - remind them that the what, who, when and how will change but the WHY will always remain the same. Encourage them to create a powerful purpose for the Circle that will attract Citizens and Strong Leaders.
  2. Show them the Leaders Guide and how to use it effectively. Ensure they have completed their first 5 steps
  3. Encourage them to articulate the Environment they are trying to create. Remember that Environment, Action, Experience are crucial to the Circle.
  4. Have the schedule their next 6 months of meetings and guide them through their first agenda remembering everything is new.
  5. Carry out a debrief with the team after the first meeting to help them improve for next time.
