Preparation

Propagation
Ok, so now we have got you started and set up in your new Leadership Role, let's look in this Section at what you need to do to ensure your Circle is sustainable and scaleable, which means you can still run effectively if you have no new members joining in a month or if you have 50 join you in a month!
This section is broken into 4 elements
Preparation - Participation - Preservation - Propagation
1) Preparation
10 Steps to Create an XL Nation Verified Circle in under 30 days
2) Participation
Environment
The environment you and your team create is crucial to the success of your Circle. Think about each time you have been to an XL Event. What was it that made it fun and enjoyable, that contributed to you learning and wanting to show up again?
When we ask Circle Members this question this is what they normally say:
'Somewhere I can have some real Fun'
'Noise, chatter, music, high energy'
'An Inspiring time where I want to take action afterwards'
'Provides Development for me in my business or personal life'
'Somewhere I can connect deeply to like minded individuals'
'A place I feel I can effectively make a contribution to'
Why not ask the members in your Circle what is the environment they would like to create so you can ensure they keep showing up each month to the meeting?
Some top Tips:
Circle flow
Here is a flow sheet to show you how to run the Circle Meeting. The flow has been designed using Wealth Dynamics and of course the I Ching. XL Nation recommends you follow this flow. If you want to improve upon the process, then please submit an improvement plan to the XL Nation Forum. You can use this to set your agenda and to follow each month. Remember that the environment is key to the success of the meeting. It doesn't matter how organised your agenda is if your members and guests don't have FUN, they might not show up next time!

Why Grow XL Nation?
XL Nation is a Nation of change makers connecting and collecting together to achieve World Wide Wealth. By combining our skills, knowledge, learning, opportunities and inspiring stories, we will be able to create the single biggest Global Resource centre in the world, one that will totally banish the illusion of limited resources forever: everywhere! We have already started this, with the XL Library on XL World, with all the blogs, content, video and recordings that we have. Each circle, every time it meets, reports on these and shares them globally with other circles. Each new member provides a new knowledge and resource base from which to grow this.
To get to World Wide Wealth: which is every person, everywhere, having access to the resources that they need, your role as Leaders is to grow XL Nation from a few thousand to tens of thousands over the next few years and to millions by 2020. The number of members we will have by the year 2010 is 50,000, with 500 Circles and a combined contribution to charities and foundations of $30M.
'Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much'
What is the benefit of having new Citizens?
With every new Citizen comes a wealth of experience, knowledge, skills, opportunities and ideas. Each new person has so much to contribute not just to your Circle but to XL Nation in total. Each person who commits to the vision of World Wide Wealth enhances what we are all trying to do. By growing your Circle and Citizens you are assisting directly in getting to World Wide Wealth through the growth of XL Nation.
There is also the additional benefit that for every time your Circle/Country achieves a certain number of new Citizens, it receives $ and $XL Florins to spend on either development, coaching, tours or cause related projects as a support and thank you from XL Nation.
Who is a potential Citizen for my Circle?
Think of your Circle as a 'Port'. Each port has its own infrastructure so that the people can live there. It has bars, restaurants, shops, places of interest, houses, in fact, all the amenities the people need to live their lives effectively. (The circles value) What makes XL Nation unique is that each Port has ships that come and go to other ports, so that they can trade, sustain and scale. The ships in this case are the reports that the circle share amongst the citizens and circles in XL Nation (The learning in the library, the opportunities, the blog stories) When you think of your port, consider the kinds of people you want to attract to build it up and to provide the resources to share with the other ports.
XL Nation is made up of change makers. People who feel passionately about contribution and making a difference in the world. People who want to learn and develop and live an Extraordinary Life. Who do you know right now, that you would like to invite to your next Circle meeting that fits that description?
Make a list of 5 people now and resolve to call them today and invite them along to your Circle meeting this month.

2. ______________

When is the best time to discuss joining with someone?
The absolute best time to have a discussion with someone about becoming a Citizen and allow them to make a joining decision, is directly after your circle meeting. Straight after they have met the Extraordinary people in your Circle, experienced the incredible value of what your Circle is doing and they are interested to find out more. This is likely to be the time when they want to take action.
NB once your guest leaves the circle meeting, there is much less chance that they will take action and join, so ensure you always plan time after a meeting to have the one to one or group discussion with your guests.
This discussion can be in person if you are a community Circle or on the phone if you are a global Circle. It is a good idea for either the Guide or Circle Leader to conduct this discussion. Someone who understands the process and is confident enough to answer questions and to help the guest through the process, there and then.
How do I get a Guest to actually join?
Sit with the Guest and go through the following 10 steps. The process should take no more than 20 minutes altogether, especially if they have seen real value in the Circle Meeting.
1. Start with some discussion: Ask them how they felt the Circle Meeting went and what was of most value to them today? What learning's are they going to apply to their business or life as a result of just showing up today
2. Discuss the 2020 vision and XL Nations plan to achieve it with millions of connected change maker's around the world and the sharing of global resources.
3. Show the member the XL Nation Member Site. www.XLworld.org and how we use it to search, share resources and get connected globally. Explore the library, the blogs, the opportunities etc. Spend less than 5 minutes on this as it is only a short demonstration at this stage.
4. Show them the online resources, such as the Citizen Guide.
5. Ask them do they see the potential value in being connected to a group of like minded individuals on not just a monthly basis but as often as they require? If so, find out what value they see that they would bring to the Circle and to XL Nation.
6. Explain that they can join today as a member of this Circle and can access any number of Circles and all of the online/offline resources available to members. Ask the guest if this is something they would like to consider doing right now/today?
7. If the answer is no, you may like to know why. The feedback could be very useful to you individually or to the circle in general.
8. If the answer is yes, open up www.xlnation.org/joinnow and ask the guest to complete the application to join. Remind them, that their buddy is the person that invited them to the meeting. This is the person that will help orientate them and get them started.
9. Open up their email account so that they can confirm the correct one and complete the joining process
10. Welcome them to your Circle, inform their buddy they have joined and make sure they have the dates for the next meetings.
Global Support for Circles growth
What is the Global Support System?
The Global Support System is a system that allows Circles to access additional funds, resources, development and great opportunities for themselves and their members. By bringing on board new Citizens, XL Nation grows, creates cash flow as a For Social Profit Organisation, which XL Nation wants to reinvest a part of, in its active and supportive Circles/Regions.
Who can participate in the Global Support System?
This Global Support System is open to all verified Circles. You need to be a verified Circle to qualify for the support, as that means you have had the required mentoring and input to allow you to be an effective Circle and therefore an appropriate place for new Citizens to come to.
When does the Global Support System go live?
The system launches on 1st August and will run through to the end of the 2009 at which point it will be reviewed, improved and re-launched.
How does it work?
XL Nation has assigned a budget of 10% of all Citizen Revenue: Budget allocation and continuation based upon XL Nation reaching its 2009 monthly targets. Every time your Circle attracts a new Citizen to join and they pay, the cumulative total for the month is calculated and the progressive from August through to December calculated.
Each fortnight the Blaze team www.xlworld.org/group/blaze will communicate the scoreboard of activity on new Citizens joining per Circle/City/Country. There are different levels of Support available, in the form of cash, resources, XL Florins etc.

World Tour
Each year XL Nation partners with a Major Global Charity or Cause and visits up to 8 cities in 2 weeks, appearing at half day event aimed at raising awareness of the Charity and of XL Nation, with a host of supreme speakers in the fields of wealth creation and contribution. An event in each City would typically be expected to attract between 500 and 1000 participants and would generate on average 100 new Citizens for the City. Either the City/Circle Leaders or Country Leaders can organise this event. Each successful country can nominate one City to host the World Tour event in.
Coaching

WDE/EBS/WDA
You can host one of the amazing XL Events world class programmes in your region. These events are usually suitable for a minimum of 150 participants and can generate significant income for the Circle/City that organises the event. For more details on how to go about doing this and what is required, contact Darshana.Shah@XL-events.net
4) Propagation
New circles
One of the roles of the Circle and its Leadership Team, rather like the Effective Transformation Circle (the original Daddy Circle) is to have Circle 'Babies' These are Circles that are formed and verified as a result of Members receiving value in the Circle that you run and gaining the knowledge and confidence to set up their own specific Circle.
Look out for opportunities with your Members who are looking to set up a specific Circle. You can Mentor them through the process and be there to support their growth and contribution.
When you're done, go to
